We wanted to share an idea that we recently proposed for the DHIS2 Android app on behalf of the ICRC and would love to hear your thoughts or suggestions.
In the DHIS2 web version, the Reports > Resource feature is incredibly useful for storing documents and links that can be embedded into dashboards. For instance, in one of our dashboards, we use it to store links to tutorials and training materials that help users better navigate and utilize DHIS2. These links can take users to external guides, videos, or other helpful resources.
The idea is to bring this feature to the DHIS2 Android app so mobile users can also benefit from it. This would allow app users to access documentation, tutorials, or even short videos directly from their mobile devices. Some of the proposed features include:
A Resource Repository in the app for attaching and accessing these materials.
Integration of these resources within dashboards in the app.
Offline access to specific resources.
This feature could be a great step towards improving user experience and making training materials more accessible to DHIS2 app users.
