We’re happy to share this new DHIS2 impact story from Egypt, where HISP MENA has worked with the Ministry of Health and Population and UNICEF Egypt to design and implement two tracker programs to help health authorities respond to regional emergencies, including a nutrition screening program for refugees from the conflict in Sudan – which includes automatic z-score calculation for decision support – and a medical registry to help manage diagnosis, referral, and treatment of injured civilians from the conflict in Gaza.
This is as good example of the importance of local DHIS2 capacity, ownership and innovation, as the local team was able to build on the experience from implementing the nutrition screening tracker to design and deploy their second tracker program in response to the Gaza conflict in just 10 working days.
