Three new additions to the DHIS2 Health Data Toolkit!

We are thrilled to announce the release of three new modules to the DHIS2 Health Data Toolkit, tailored to meet the evolving need of health programs worldwide:

Sexually Transmittes Infections

The DHIS2 STI Toolkit, developed with the WHO Department of Global HIV, Hepatitis and STIs, supports person-centred monitoring and surveillance of sexually transmitted infections. Aligned with WHO guidance, it includes an aggregate dataset, dashboards, and indicators based on recommended metrics for national and sub-national programme monitoring. The toolkit helps track STI syndromes, laboratory-confirmed cases, and syphilis testing in antenatal care, while strengthening routine data use and surveillance infrastructure. All visualizations use anonymized, aggregated data and are fully aligned with WHO’s STI analytical framework. Metadata is available for download and country-level adaptation to support evidence-based planning and response.

Hepatitis

The DHIS2 Hepatitis Toolkit, developed with the WHO Department of Global HIV, Hepatitis and STIs, supports person-centred monitoring across the full cascade of care for hepatitis B and C. It includes two aggregate datasets, dashboards, and indicators aligned with WHO guidance to track testing, treatment, and outcomes at national and sub-national levels. Designed to use anonymized, aggregated data, the toolkit helps strengthen surveillance systems, identify service gaps, and guide evidence-based planning and response. All components align with WHO’s hepatitis analytical framework, and metadata is available for download and country-level adaptation to support elimination goals.

Rapid Response Team Rostering tool

The DHIS2 Rapid Response Team (RRT) Rostering tool enhances emergency preparedness by digitizing workflows for selecting, deploying, and evaluating public health responders. Developed with CDC and HISP Uganda, and shaped by inputs from multiple Ministries of Health, it integrates with national DHIS2 systems to speed up response to emerging health threats. The tool provides real-time visibility of qualified personnel, automated alerts, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making. Usable across all administrative levels, it supports both managers and responders, helping countries reduce response time and improve coordination during infectious disease outbreaks and other emergencies.
