Continuing our #30YearsOfHISP celebration, we’d like to share this interview with Dr. Edem Kossi of HISP West & Central Africa, looking back on his work with HISP and DHIS2 since 2017.
“At the country level, when we began this work, many countries were using a variety of different paper and electronic systems for HMIS data. But very quickly everyone saw that the Sierra Leone case was different, that suddenly—for the first time—everyone could have access to the data. It was no longer sitting on a single person’s computer, and they were also able to bring data from various sources into a single system.”
